Parish chronicle can be an important source for studying local history. Besides information about events in town, we can also understand how the world events affected life in a small village. How many information we will be able to find depends on how conscientious the pastor who wrote the chronicle was. This is the reason why for some periods we have a lot of information and for others we have few or even none. Also, we should not forget a great deal of criticism that is necessary when dealing with written facts. In this article is briefly presented the history of Senožeče based on information from local parish chronicle.
