Editorial board

  • Editors and the editorial board adhere to editorial guidelines and scientific standards in consultation with the reviewers when assessing suitability of the contributions for publication.
  • The editorial board will submit papers for peer-review to at least two reviewers who are experts in relevant field.
  • Editorial board and the reviewers are bound by confidentiality of the peer review process.


  • Peer-review is anonymous: authors’ names are not released to reviewers, and vice versa.
  • Reviewers are subjected to treating all manuscripts as confidential documents and they must not use submissions for their own benefit.
  • Reviewers who do not feel qualified to review or are unable to complete the review within the agreed deadline, are obliged to notify the editorial board and withdraw from the review.


  • Authors must comply with Instructions for Authors, which are published on journal’s website.
  • Authors guarantee that their submissions are original research papers and the result of their own research, that the information provided is accurate and that the works of other authors used are correctly cited or listed.
  • Authors guarantee that the texts they submitted for publication have not been published or are not in the process of being published in any other publication. Translations of manuscripts are excluded.
  • The author must acknowledge work by others who contributed to the submitted manuscript. Any information obtained privately by the author may be used solely with the written permission of the source.
  • If the submitted paper was written by several authors, consent to publication must be obtained from all of them.
  • The authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish copyrighted images and other material.
  • By submitting papers for publication in Journal Retrospektive, the authors agree that their texts can also be published online on the website of the Journal Retrospektive or separately.
