About Retrospektive

Retrospektive is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal in modern and contemporary history. It focuses on the dynamics of borders, identities, cultures, and memory at the crossroads of Central, Southeastern, and Alpine Europe from the eighteenth century to the present, with particular attention to the Yugoslav and post-Yugoslav space. The journal publishes original archival research and methodologically innovative contributions in history, while remaining open to historically grounded interdisciplinary approaches, including public history and the digital humanities.
